AICTE has introduced the AICTE-IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab scheme in its approved institutions to inspire students to apply the fundamentals of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through hands-on learning and experiential activities. As a common institutional facility, the IDEA Lab enables students to “engage, explore, experience, express, and excel,” aligning with the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.The AICTE-IDEA Lab acts as a hub of creativity and innovation, providing an ecosystem that nurtures the generation, development, and implementation of new ideas, inventions, and projects. By bringing together individuals from diverse disciplines and skill sets, the lab promotes collaboration, problem-solving, and innovation-driven learning.

Vision:

To fostering innovation and creativity, providing students and faculty with the resources to develop real-world solutions using state-of-the-art technologies and to create a vibrant ecosystem where ideas are transformed into prototypes, encouraging an entrepreneurial mindset in line with Mission Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.

Mission:

M1: To empower students with multidisciplinary skills in emerging areas like AI, IoT, Robotics and 3D printing.

M2: To create multidisciplinary collaborations among engineering, science, and humanities departments, fostering a holistic learning environment.

M3: To serve as an incubator for student startups, providing mentorship, resources, and industry exposure.
