Electronics and Communication Engineering has emerged as the major driving force in the present day Information Technology revolution. It is acting as a bridge between different disciplines of engineering and technology. It has penetrated into other prominent sectors such as health care, instrumentation, agriculture, automation, signal processing, remote sensing etc.., The recent developments such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence and the mercurial advancements in the field of communication. Keeping in view, the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has outlined the following objectives:
To enable the students to gain exposure to the latest trends in the field of communication and technology.
To teach a variety of domain applications to the students.
To equip students with practical knowledge to formulate and solve challenging problems.
To provide a platform for the students to express their ideas diligently.
To enhance the designing skills of the students through state-of-the-art laboratories and qualified faculty.
To inculcate the moral and ethical values among the students with regards to their profession.
The department of Electronics & Communications Engineering is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, seminar halls and smart classrooms towards fulfilling these objectives.
The public and private sectors are need of skilled engineers who can innovate and work with sophisticated and modern technologies. It is for this reason the electronics graduates find jobs in reputed organizations such as BSNL and other telecom giants. The latest advancements such as 5G and NFC have created a demand for skilled graduates who can adapt to the changing needs of the communication sector. Most of the software companies recruit electronics engineers as their expertise on hardware is highly desired.
The graduates can opt for immediate employment through placements or higher education through advanced courses such as M.Tech or Masters of Science (MS) across India or abroad for various advanced computing courses.
