Hostel

S V Colleges provides accommodation to students wishing to reside in the hostel. Separate hostel facility is provided for girls and boys. The students of all programmes live together in the hostels, which helps in developing a healthy and cordial relationship among them. The overall atmosphere is very conducive for the students to concentrate on their studies. The hostel has been providing the students with the following facilities:

Hostel has a mess which functions for its residents during the working semester. Spacious dining rooms have been provided in the hostel. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food prepared under hygienic conditions is served in the students dining hall.

Library

The library has been the most integral part of the college from its existence. It is a most lively place on the campus providing a safe, comfortable and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge. It has a seating capacity of 300 The library has a huge collection of books on engineering, management, science and humanities. It serves the students and faculty with latest information, reading materials, advanced technological resources such as web, on-line journals, as well as online books.

Digital Library

Digital library is a part of the library with 50 computers to access internet /e-learning materials. Students have also access to thousands of international journals like IEL, (IEEE/IEE Electronics Library) ASME, ASLCE, Applied Science and Technology Plus (ASTP), SCM, Springer, Verlagline, J-Gate etc.

ATM

ATM services by The Karur Vsya Bank is available for staff and students within the campus for easy financial transactions on all days.

Cafeteria

The institute has an extremely well-kept self service cafeteria with a facility for 300 members to dine at a time. This enables all students and staff to have their breakfast snacks & lunch with relishing taste at affordable rates. Utmost care is taken to provide hygienic delicious food and water. Strict discipline is maintained in the canteen. Arrangement has been made for the boys and girls to dine separately.

The cafeteria of college is an ideal place for students to hangout and spend leisure time. It caters to the students’ taste-bud and is a great place to unwind in between the hectic lecture-lab schedules. It bustles with irrepressible youngsters’ and brims over with their infectious vibrant spirit.

SPORTS CLUB

The sporting and leisure facilities on campus are extensive. The various indoor and outdoor games facilitate rejuvenation to the mind, body and soul Sporting facilities include Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Tennis and Table Tennis. Students also participate in Intercollegiate interuniversity sports tournaments for which they practice in campus itself within available sports facilities. Students are encouraged to play by supporting outstanding players with good quality equipment’s. Occasional Events like Yoga Day, National Sports Day are celebrated. The motto of the Arts & Craft Club is to inspire and enable our students to actively learn and develop their talent and skills that will develop artistic expression

Arts & Craft Club shows its innovation, creativity and hard work through exhibitions and always tries its best to enhance the exhibition quality introducing new art forms and inducting new members every semester. the club is instrumental in decorating the college campus during festivals like Nandi, Harivillu and Ample. The art material needed is provided by the club. For any art lover, It’s a great opportunity and a firm platform to learn, improve and showcase art skills. Arts & Craft Club, more than a team, is a family with a lot of fun and entertainment.

Music & Dance

Music and Dance are the most popular fine arts giving immense aesthetic pleasures both to the performer and the listener. Our club provides a platform to the students in instrumental and vocal music and also various styles of dancing. The club organizes a host of various events that take place within the campus. Through a number of events our music and dance club has been able to maintain high levels of enthusiasm and team integration among the students.
